DOCUMENTS FOR USE ABROAD

Document Attestation & Apostille Assistance

Identify the correct authentication route before your documents travel.

START WITH CLARITY

Support that follows the right process.

The route depends on the document, issuing authority or State, destination country and intended use. Apostille and embassy legalisation are different processes. Our team checks the current official route before accepting originals or estimating completion.

PRACTICAL HELP

What our team can do.

Documents we can help route

  • Educational: degrees, diplomas, mark sheets, school and transfer certificates, and professional qualifications.
  • Personal: birth, marriage, death, divorce, adoption, medical and experience records, PCC, affidavits and powers of attorney.
  • Commercial: incorporation records, board resolutions, invoices, origin certificates, agreements and business powers of attorney.
  • Translation or notarisation coordination through qualified or authorised providers when required.

Find the competent route

  • Check whether the destination accepts a Hague apostille or requires normal legalisation and embassy steps.
  • Identify required prior authentication by the issuer, university, State department, SDM, Chamber of Commerce or another competent body.
  • Check whether the document is eligible for the government e-Sanad process.
  • Guide the current MEA apostille or attestation submission route through authorised channels.
  • Explain destination embassy, consulate or foreign ministry steps when applicable.

Coordinate and follow up

  • Explain official, authorised-centre, translation, courier and Sreepayanam charges separately in a proposal.
  • Arrange any original-document handover or courier only after staff confirms the route and custody arrangements.
  • Record confirmed milestones, questions and return or collection instructions for the applicant.
  • Require staff and customer approval before outward documents or originals are released.

OFFICIAL STARTING POINTS

Check the responsible authority.

These India-wide official starting points do not determine the destination country's acceptance rules. Links were reviewed on 23 October 2026; staff must verify the destination and document-specific route.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions before you begin.

Sreepayanam helps identify and coordinate the applicable process. Acceptance, authentication, apostille, legalisation and timing are decided by the issuing authority, State or Union Territory authority, MEA, embassy, destination foreign ministry or authorised centre. Requirements and fees may change. Original documents must be genuine and may need further verification.

Is an apostille the same as embassy attestation?

No. The required route depends on the destination and document. Our team checks the current authority instructions before recommending a process.

Can I upload certificates with my first enquiry?

No. Start with the document type, issuing authority, destination and intended use. Staff will explain any approved secure document process later.

Does Sreepayanam issue the apostille?

No. The Ministry of External Affairs or another competent authority performs authentication. We assist with preparation and coordination.
